  • Yes, we conduct 8 annual examinations for the general course. The assessment syllabus covers dance and performing skills, a written theory paper and basics of Hindustani music and Yoga. We have external examiners who are invited to assess the students. We provide detailed mark-sheets as well as certificates for each successfully cleared examination.

  • We do not consider this the end, but rather a new beginning. After the general course, students may take up performing and/or teaching more seriously. For those who want to take up dance full-time, we also guide them with appropriate university courses in performing arts. Those who want to explore teaching may start with an apprenticeship under one of our senior teachers. There are many other interesting roles to explore within the field too, that we are happy to discuss with families.

  • No, we currently do not train our students for Visharad and similar examinations. Ours is a private institute that is not affiliated with any government organisations. Students are free to approach other teachers to prepare for such exams if they wish, as long as that schedule does not clash with our class schedule.

  • No, currently we are focusing on group classes. One-on-one training is reserved for our students who are receiving special guidance for solo performances, or on special request for family, school or social functions.

  • Absolutely. We will schedule an in-person trial session to gauge your child’s level and then decide which batch is most appropriate for them. Once that is done, it usually takes at least a year for a student to feel settled. We will do our best to support your child as they transition to our style.

  • Our biggest showcase is “Nrityanjali” held every two years, where all our students receive an opportunity to perform in a large-scale stage show, usually at Symbiosis auditorium in Viman Nagar. We also have small and large stage shows in between, as well as intimate studio-showcases. We periodically send our students for private events and competitions. We organize events such as “Pallavi” and “Prayaas” to encourage solo performing and music recitals too.
