Kids Classes
If you are in Pune and have a child who is showing an interest in dance and music, Tridhara is the right place for you. Young boys and girls, aged 6.5 years and above, are welcome to join our Kathak classes in Viman Nagar.
Currently, Tridhara does not offer online classes for anyone below the age of 15 years.

Dance
Our students are trained in the Lucknow gharana of Kathak, known for its emphasis on poetic grace, nuanced expression, and technical virtuosity. Our dance curriculum has been carefully designed to allow the children to deepen their understanding and appreciation of both the performative as well as the theoretical aspects of the art form. We believe in the power of building a strong and thorough foundation that would allow our dancers to go on to perform, choreograph, teach, and learn other complex dance forms with grace and confidence.
Examinations
We conduct annual examinations at Tridhara, and our students receive an official certificate after each exam. We invite an external examiner to come and assess each child in their understanding of both the practical and theoretical aspects of Kathak. There are a total of 8 examinations for the general course, after which a student may choose to take up performing and/or teaching more seriously. Those who wish to pursue Kathak full-time thereafter can also be guided towards good professional degrees such as BA and MA in performing arts from universities in and around Pune. (We are a private institute and are not affiliated with any government arts organizations.)
Performing Opportunities
More than examinations, it is performing on stage that truly refines and tests one’s skills. The process of working hard towards a stage performance for many months leading up to it arguably offers the greatest learning curve in our journeys as dancers. This is why we take it upon ourselves to create such platforms for our students to work hard, enjoy the sweat, and earn the applause and appreciation. Throughout the year, we host shows, both at our studio as well as at large auditoriums, where our students can showcase their dance. Promising students are selected for special solo performances. We also prepare our dancers for competitions, festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, family and school functions, and even corporate shows.

Other Events
Being a bustling arts centre, we enjoy hosting fun and enriching events and inviting other artists to fill our studio with their creative energy. Our students can attend these additional sessions, such as live music “baithaks,” vocal music workshops, classical and semi-classical dance workshops, drum circles, and interactive talks. We also host a summer camp where we have had sessions on stage make-up, DIY ghungroo making, film-watching, nutrition, mandala art, and more.
Days and Timings
Classes usually take place twice a week on weekdays from 5:00pm onwards, for a duration of 60-75 minutes each. Sunday mornings are for more intensive training at higher levels. The days and timings of each batch will be decided closer to the admissions time.
Admission for the 2025 batch is now closed. Join the waitlist for 2026 batch.

Curriculum
Traditional at the core, and contemporary in approach
At Tridhara, we work hard to find the right balance of the structure and traditional values or ‘Sanskaar’ we have inherited from our gurus, along with innovative teaching methods and a joyful learning environment that can nurture, engage and inspire the current generation. We value discipline and dedication as much as humour and playfulness. Over time, not only do our students strengthen their sense of rhythm, coordination, grace and expressions through dance, but we also help them develop an interest in classical vocal and instrumental music, yoga, strength training, nutrition, reading, researching, choreography, public speaking, costume design, etc.
